Start Your Coffee Brand.
Launching a coffee brand does not require owning a roastery or sourcing coffee yourself.
Many cafés, retailers and brand-led businesses introduce coffee by working with a roasting partner who handles sourcing, roasting and packaging.
At Custom Coffee, we produce and pack coffee that you sell under your own brand.
Most brands begin with a small first batch — not too large, not overly complex, but enough to launch properly and test demand.
Minimum launch order: 6 kg roasted coffee
How MOST COFFEE BRANDS BEGIN
Choose your coffees
Start with one or multiple blends or seasonal coffees that suit your market.
Brand it
Your coffee is packed in retail bags using your label design and brand identity.
Most coffee brands do not start with large production runs.
They begin with a small first batch, introduce it to the market, and expand once demand becomes clear.
Starting this way keeps costs manageable and avoids committing to unnecessary inventory before the product has proven itself.
In practice, the process is usually straightforward.
Produce a first batch
Small production runs allow you to launch without overcommitting.
Start selling
Introduce the product through cafés, retail, online, or direct to customers.
The Launch Package
The Launch Package simplifies the first production run by reducing the number of decisions needed.
Instead of configuring a full white-label setup, you begin with a small number of practical choices.
Choose your coffees
Choose your bag format and size
Upload your label design
Our team reviews the request and confirms production before your first batch is roasted.
MOQ
Minimum launch order: 6 kg roasted coffee
Most first orders fall between 6–20 kg, which is typically enough to launch a retail product without committing to large inventory.
Samples
Before confirming your first production run, we can send coffee samples so you can evaluate the quality and finalise your selection.
Label design support
If you do not yet have finished label artwork, we can assist with design.
Design support typically starts from €250 for production-ready label files.

SELECT Your COffeeS
For launch orders, you can begin with one coffee or a small range.
Many brands start with a single espresso coffee, while others introduce two or three options such as espresso, range of filters, or decaf.
Both approaches work well for a first launch. The most important thing is starting with a manageable production batch and expanding later as demand grows.

Our core blends are made from specialty-grade Arabica coffees and are designed to remain available throughout the year with a consistent flavour profile.
These blends are developed and maintained by our roasting team to ensure consistency, reliability, and repeatable production.
This means blends are not created on a custom basis for individual clients, but selected from our existing range.
They are typically the most straightforward starting point for new coffee brands because they provide predictable supply and stable pricing.
Available options include:
• Espresso blends for cafés and home espresso machines
• Filter profiles for pour-over, batch brew, and filter brewing
• Decaffeinated coffee for a complete retail range
• Roast styles ranging from lighter to darker profilesTypical small-batch pricing:
€19–€22 per kg
-
In addition to our core blends, we also offer seasonal single origin coffees and microlots.
These coffees rotate throughout the year depending on harvests and availability, and are sourced in smaller quantities.
They can be a good option for brands that want to launch with a more distinctive coffee or introduce limited seasonal releases.
Key characteristics
• Origin-specific coffees from countries such as Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala, and Peru
• Specialty-grade Arabica coffees typically scoring 84–89 SCA points
• Limited availability, with specific lots changing throughout the year

Example Launch Batch
To give a clearer idea of scale and cost, here is an example of a small first production run with a 3-product range.
Most first launches fall between 6 kg and 20 kg, depending on how many coffees are included.
Example production run
12 kg total roasted coffee
3 coffees: espresso, filter, decaf
48 × 250 g bags (16 bags per coffee)
This allows you to launch with a small but complete product range, rather than a single coffee.
This example is for illustration only. Final pricing depends on coffee selection, packaging, and batch size.

FAQs
Do you handle fulfillment?
We can support fulfilment on a B2B basis where it makes operational sense.
For direct-to-consumer fulfilment, we typically recommend specialist partners rather than running this in-house.
Do YOU PRODUCE PACKAGING?
We can support the packaging setup by drawing on our experience and supplier network to identify suitable packaging production partners.
Packaging design and artwork remain the responsibility of the client, but we support the process to ensure formats, materials, and specifications are appropriate for production.
Is there a minimum order?
Minimum volumes depend on the product format, packaging, and production method.
Some formats allow for lower initial volumes.
Minimums are discussed openly during the feasibility review.
How do you ensure consistency?
Through established roast profiles, written QA protocols, routine QC cupping, and production processes designed for repeatability.
Consistency is built into the system, not managed ad hoc.
